They Don’t Like Me – Poetry

They said they don’t like me

But I guess that’s fine by me

There’s a thin line between love and hate

And if you can’t love, hate me

Let my name waste away at your brain

Just think of me, commit to me

Waste your time on a wish for me

Because I won’t let you block the road

So love me or hate me, but I won’t

Let it get to me, I don’t pretend to be

I just do me, and you’re not me

So I don’t care whether you want me

Or not.

Or if they like me.

Or not.
